September 13th - Holly & Kevin

What a fantastic day for a wedding! I started the day with Holly at Jean Paul Salon in Stuyvesant Plaza where the girls were getting hair and makeup done. The staff there was pleasant and acomodating so taking photos was a lot of fun.

Holly and Kevin were destined to marry according to their parents - they were paired up together for First Communion and it just seemed fitting that today they were wed in the same parish. The building has been modernized, but the family values that they grew up with are evident in the smiles, laughs and tears of their families on this day.

Here are some images from the remainder of the day. The reception was at the fabulous Riverstone Manor in Glenville, NY where Skip, Tom ,Patti and the gang did an outstanding job as usual. I also had the pleasure to work with Dennis Shaw, a videographer and a gentleman from Schoharie, NY. Entertainment by Mike Garassi from Music Man Entertainment. Congratulations Holly & Kevin...

Kindergarten Day 2 - the first bus ride...

Yesterday was indeed Asa's first day in Kindergarten (all 90 minutes of it) and Delaney's first day in 5th grade (better start brushing up on my trivia folks)... But today was the FIRST BUS RIDE!!! Unfortunately we were all a little lumpier this morning and didn't get up as early as we should've.

Nancy made us all a nice breakfast and we proceeded to hurry our morning along to get the kids in the driveway in time for the bus. Both kids are excited with the new school clothes, the shoes, the supplies, the new lunch boxes and backpacks that go along with the start of the new school year.

Hope everyone enjoys the photos and is able to hear that Staples commercial in their heads... I know I can (It's the most wonderful time of the year... hehe)

Kindergarten? Is it possible?

I seriously can't believe that it's time for Asa to start kindergarten already... It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital with his big sister (all of 5 years old at that point herself).

It's been a whirlwind week with Nancy getting all the back to school shopping done and the kids cleaning and organizing their bedrooms, picking out backpacks and such.

Last night Asa was so tired he fell asleep almost immediately when his head hit the pillow - that NEVER happens... We've started a routine of everyone getting up early, Nancy makes breakfast and luches for everyone and off we go on our daily routines...

Here is Asa at 11pm last night all snuggled in with Rocky, and then a shot of Asa and Delaney this morning before breakfast.

The time does indeed fly by...
